I decided to go ahead and create a new community to host my pictures because this was a regular user journal instead of a community and I got sick of having to log off and on everytime I wanted to update. With the new community, I can just post pictures to the community from my regular user name, which will be wondermous. If anyone wants to head over there for the pictures that I post, feel free to. The new community will be a lot less strict and is just a place for me to upload the pictures I download and updates will be done as I get the time and resources. In short, a more laid back approach is taken, which I think will go over alot better and won't run me down as much.

Hey everyone. This probably isn't news to anyone since I haven't updated in here in forever, but thie journal is now officially closed. I've had alot of health issues recently and downloading and posting pictures really hasn't been on the top of my priority list. Not to mention I was sick of people slagging me off anonymously while still being a member of the community. I might decide to open it back up when I get my life back in order, but as of now this community is closed and the pictures are locked down.

1. If you have are reading this but yet never see any pictures, it's because you haven't followed the rules on the user info and on this post. There's about 40 people who fall under this category and you are missing all the pictures unless you read the rules.


2. I was thinking of putting a Footie Chat together. Just some place where fans of the game and of the boys can come together and gush. Everyone will be welcome, as this won't cater to a certain team, but will just be a Fangirl's Football Chat. If you'd be interested in this, please go to my journal here and fill out the poll so that I can get an idea of when to try and host the first chat.


3. Crap, I know I had another one but now I can't remember it. Hmmm. Oooh! I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to clippage who bought us 10 gb of picture storage space, so there will be much more pretty to come!


4. Also.. this is a bit of a plea. If anyone has any football icon journals, or knows of places where alot are posted, feel free to pimp your work in this post. I need to overhaul my icons both here and at my personal journal and would be much obliged if you pointed me in the direction of some!

Hiya everyone - this is the other half [the lesser half, really] of footie_lust. We're sorry at the lack of posting recently. It's not just because of the off-season. Johnna's been very, very busy with her rotations, so it's rare that she gets to settle down long enough to think about breathing, much less posting. she works so hard and ilherverymuch

Feel free to leave lots of love for her, because she's wonderful, and remember, you can see all the old posts by browsing the Tags page. Once the pre-season and new season get underway, I'm sure we'll have everything sorted. For now, enjoy the summer, and, as always, the boys. :)

Okay I figured why study when I can make a spam post about my boys!?! These are my lovelies. The 2007 squad of Houston Dynamo, in Major League Soccer. Not as glorious as EPL or La Liga but I love them sooo much. We won the league last year in our first year (They were a relocated team from San Jose (*sniff* I love my Quakes) and I was so proud to get this team in Houston.) Class acts, the lot of them. Will be posting pictures all year long (as our season just started) and too bad if you don't like. Plus, Em needs help figuring out who's who lol. I'll be getting more and more MLS pics as it is my home league and I'm not one of those people that are Euro Snobs. I love my boys.

MLS Cup Champions 2006

Sorry, I've been a little absent lately. Last weekend's game didn't make me want to go out and search and get pictures, but I've cheered up after this week!

Couple of housekeeping notices:
1. If you haven't already, please go to this link and follow the directions and friend the community. That way I can friend you back and you can start enjoying all the pretty. There's about 40 people who haven't done this and thus they have no pictures. :(

1a. On the note, I am pretty lenient with the journals I allow to be friended. I want everyone to see the pictures, but I have to look out for myself. If you have a "sock" journal for fandom things, it doesn't necessarily mean you will be disqualified or anything. I just like to make sure it wasn't created like yesterday and that there is some activity on it. Feel free to also send me an email if you want to explain. Again, I want everyone to be able to see the pictures so I'm not trying to act like a snob or anything.

2. I recently had to upgrade to a paid account because I now have over 1 gig of pictures. Over 1700 pretty pictures! So I was very excited about that. And even more excited that dreaminoflorien bought me the paid account out of the blue! So a big thanks to her, not only for buying the paid account but tagging ALL of the pictures! So yes, big thanks hon. I love you and couldn't do this without you.

2.5. With the upgrade in the account, I have more userpics! So I'll be uploading new ones and I am so not creative so I have to use other people's. I always give credit, but if you don't want me to use your icon here just let me know! Feel free to email me if you don't want to comment.

And that's it. I've uploaded all the most recent pics and will be posting those sporadically over the weekend. Planning on getting caught up even though I keep saying that. My vacation screwed me up lol. Any why not, let's use this post to comment with any comments you have for me. If there's something bothering you, let me know!
